BioOn this most auspicious of nights, permit me then, in lieu of the more commonplace sobriquet, to suggest the character of this dramatis persona.
I’m Benji. Some day when I grow up, I want to do something that’ll make the world a better place. But for now I’m just trying to make life more beautiful day by day. I can always find good in a situation, no matter how bleak it looks.
I believe reading is the key to knowledge and I read anything I can lay my hands on. If I was given the choice between books or clothes, the books would win out every time.
I’m currently living in Scotland, with my father, our dog and rabbit. I’m going to be attending University of Manchester in September where I’ll be studying Philosophy and Jewish Studies.
Manchester is a home to me. Its where my wonderful family of choice lives, and a lot of other amazing people who I love dearly.
I love to travel, see the world and the different people in it. I’ve got that wondering spirit that my mother had when she was my age.
I’m trying to find my place in the world, getting involved in politics and activism for causes I believe in. I’m a Liberal Democrat with socialist leanings, and I support equality for all people of the world.
I'm genderqueer, presenting to the world on the male end of the spectrum, but that's all changeable on a whim. I like to have a bit of an androgynous appearance so people question what I am. I use neutral pronouns - it and they, and this is non-negotiable. These pronouns are not offensive to me, and if someone has an objection to them then that's their problem not mine.
I’m also a submissive with a penchant for boots, Daddies, knives and humiliation.
I love glitter, dandies, glam rock and Oscar Wilde. My favourite director is John Cameron Mitchell. I absolutely adore Hedwig and Shortbus. Glam queer films are love, as are lavish vampire films like Interview With A Vampire.
